well,i think why FCM students dont oftenly go to museum or dont go at all{unless they are forced to},is because most of them preffer using a pc to do anything and i think most of them hates art....i mean just according to my observation during the little time that i spent with them...i know pc is a lil advanced in terms of comparing it to stuff made by hands only because of the lil things like colouring{depth of colour},time taken, precision and all...

ooh,"MY SOLUTIONS"..I think to solve this lil issue,we can just start by enforcing the use of art by hands in most subjects in foundation....just balancing or levelling it with stuff we do in computer graphics so that most people may be can be interested in using coloured pencils, charcoal n all, gradually leading them to check gallaries under no supervision but mainly for their own good to see how they can improvise on the skills they have and explore the new ones...

yeah I agree on that pono, on the PC idea.. most students stuck on their PC the whole time.. games or designing.. it's very unusual to see them go to art galleries or museums unless it is a class trip. ( being forced to ) The PC and the internet can do jut wonders for them. U can search anything by just typing and clicking.. why all the hassle to go all the way to the art galleries ? ( that is least they could think of )

Solution ? Perhaps when the topic is about FCM students and not art students in particular ? I think the foundation should organize more field trips for the students. More and more to enhance the students interest in admiring arts that can be felt or touched or even smell. The more field trips organized, students will eventually realize the thrill and fun of visiting those places. Instead of field trips.. students will also volunteer to visit those places alone or with friends..
